ITTAMOZHI (இட்டமொழி), is small and pleasent village in nanguneri taluk, Tirunelveli district in tamilnadu state, India. There is no direct meaning of the name ittamozhi in tamil or sanskrit but the word itta simply means "given/put" and the word mozhi means "language/order". More than 500 families are living in ittamozhi village. Most of the pepoles are moved and settled in variours part of tamilnadu mostly coimbatore and chennai and doing retail business

EDUCATION

A V J Govt Government higher secondary school is well know school in ittamozhi and surrounding villages,school was founded by A V Joseph, few other private schools are also in ittamozhi village.

ENVIRONMENT:

Ittamozhi is bit dried place, more number of tamarind trees, palm trees and Acacia Nilotica trees can be seen.since village is near to Coast, cimate will be hotter in summer. There are ponds (Ayyan kulam, urani kulam velankadu kulam) are surrounded by ittamozhi which would have water in entire year.
